Past work
During my 10+ years of work experience in the IT field, I worked with lots of different technologies and frameworks like PHP, Laravel, Javascript, Angular, Vue.js, Cordova, Phonegap, Node.js, Express, Python, Django, Flask, Go, Java (Android), C#, C++, MySQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, … to build solutions ranging from company websites, native and Cordova-based mobile apps to full-blown web applications.
Application development
Supported an in-house development team with building a from-scratch e-commerce platform for students. Where they could order textbooks and other didactic material for the course they were taking. I was responsible for the architecture and development of the customer-facing webshop and a great part of the administrative dashboard.
Migration to Microsoft Exchange online
Migrated the email service of a company that is known for its successful planners. This involved setting up their exchange online accounts and migrating from a simple SMTP/IMAP-based setup hosted on Versio to Exchange Online with personal and shared mailboxes. This was to improve their delivery rate and make it easier for their team to follow up on support questions.
Setup of infrastructure for a blogging platform
For an influencer based in Antwerp with a love for dogs and dresses, I did the basic setup of her blogging website based on WordPress after she had complaints about the performance of her previous hosting provider. Now the blog is running on a secure and private VM, that provides the possibility of easy scaling.
